Statistics tell us, in approximately two million Californians, nearly one of every seven workers in California is employed in manufacturing.
The new global economic order requires manufacturers to be lean and efficient for timely adaptation to the fast-paced, just-in-time production and distribution cycles of this new century. Manufacturers, in turn, realize that adapting to these requirements is their key to survival in the industry. Cerritos College Economic Development delivers customized employee training via on-site courses, in-house at our centers, and Online courses to meet the varied needs of our customers.
CCED's mission is to help California's manufacturing industry compete successfully in the changing markets and the global economy through Applied Competitive Technologies and workforce education. We accomplish this through technology education, manufacturing training, and services that contribute to continuous workforce development, technology deployment and business development.
The CACT, Centers for Applied Competitive Technologies, programs are an initiative of the California Community College's Economic Development Program. Cerritos College Economic Development provides workshops, seminars, and customized trainings tailored to meet each company's specific goal.
